1-on-1 Coaching
Private 1-on-1 training is perfect for the dog parent who wants to learn about and be directly involved in the training process. Through personalized coaching, we work collaboratively to help you and your dog build the skills you need to reduce reactivity, increase confidence, and enjoy being out in the world.
Coaching is also great for problems at the house such as greeting guests and feeling comfortable with visitors, window barking, and destructive behavior.
Initial Consultation
We start with a 60 minute virtual consultation to assess your training goals and your dog’s behavior. Here we also discuss the training options available and what next steps look like.
Initial 60-minute consultation: $205

It is a big investment and I don’t take that lightly. I recognize that you’re here because you want professional help and commend you on that step!
My clients often tell me they wish they had started sooner. Even in the beginning they see real change and feel hopeful for the first time.
-
My methods are rooted in positive reinforcement. I do not use any aversive tools or techniques, such as e-collars (shock/beep/vibration collars), prong collars, choke chains, slip leads, balanced training, or punishment based methods.
I use a combination of methods and protocols such as counter-conditioning, desensitization, BAT (behavior adjustment training), pattern games, engagement-disengagement, reinforcing calm behaviors, and focus cues. Training is focused on positive and fun experiences for your dog!
By addressing the root cause of the behavior, such as fear, anxiety, or frustration, your dog will learn how to engage with and experience the world calmly and confidently.

Positive training is always the first step for behavior modification. Sometimes, the underlying cause of the behavior can be so strong that medication is needed to help the training stick.
If we decide that medication might be beneficial for your dog, I will support you with a veterinary referral and will share notes and updates with everyone on the training team.
-
Yes! Most dog parents have been dealing with behavior issues for a long time. My clients often come to me after seeing several other trainers or trying different training methods themselves. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, tired, or at the end of your leash you are not alone.
Training is not about quick fixes. I work with you and your dog to rebuild your relationship, develop trust, and change habits. All of this takes time and practice, and we’ll work at your dog’s pace for the most effective results.
-
I get it - you’re busy! And dog training takes time. If you would rather me do the work for you, check out my Day Training packages!
Financial Support
Because positive relationship building with your dog shouldn’t be a financial burden, I offer a limited sliding scale for those unable to pay the full rate. Please contact me if you would like to discuss this option.
Additionally, because adoption from a shelter or rescue is such an incredible way to support your community and provide a loving home to a dog in need, I offer a 10% discount for newly adopted dogs (from both rescues and shelters). Not only do many dogs in shelters and rescues not have basic skills, but the adjustment period into your home is such a special and important time to support their learning!
