Day Training
We know how hard it can be to add to an already full schedule. Day training allows us to do the hard work for you, with faster, more effective results.
You probably didn’t get a dog so you could become a dog trainer! Day training is like taking your car to the mechanic. It hands the hard work over to an expert who understands the complexities of behavior modification, and without affecting the relationship you already have with your dog.
Whether your dog struggles with leash pulling, reactivity, overexcitement, or other “big feelings”, day training gets better results more quickly. Get ready to sit back and enjoy your well-behaved dog!
Why let us train for you?
Convenience. Who has time to train their dog? You’re busy and I’m here to help.
Speed. Day training produces faster results than traditional coaching sessions.
Results. Your dog works directly with the trainer for lasting change.
Ease. I do the heavy lift for you (including your homework!).
Peace of Mind. I only use empowering, positive reinforcement, and science-based training methods.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Unlike traditional coaching, where a dog trainer teaches you how to train your dog once a week, day training is where the trainer works directly with your dog multiple times a week. This makes the training both faster and more effective.
You probably didn’t get a dog to become a dog trainer! Day training allows me to do the work for you so you can enjoy your dog without the stress.
-
Day training occurs 3 times per week with your dog, and once a week with you. I work directly with your dog for faster, longer lasting results, and each week “transfer” those new skills to you so they stick with your dog after I’m no longer your trainer.
-
Day training is for either 3 or 4 weeks, depending on the skills your dog needs help with. Your dog receives 3 × 60-minute sessions each week, and once a week I meet with you to review what your dog has learned.
We also meet twice after completing your training program for any questions or support needs.

There are so many!
For the human, you don’t have to try and fit one more thing into your already busy schedule. Your dog is trained for you during the day while you’re at work, grocery shopping, or wherever! You also don’t have to learn how to train your dog, you just get to enjoy the results.
For your dog, the benefits are numerous. Your dog learns faster through more frequent repetitions of learning. The results are longer-lasting because your dog learns directly from a trainer with expert knowledge in behavior modification. Your dog also gets to practice their skills in lots of environments, making the learning stick even more.

All of my training methods are rooted in positive reinforcement. I do not use any aversive tools or techniques, such as e-collars (shock/beep/vibration collars), prong collars, choke chains, slip leads, balanced training, or punishment based methods.
I use a combination of tools and protocols such as counter-conditioning, desensitization, BAT (behavior adjustment training), pattern games, engagement-disengagement, reinforcing calm behaviors, and focus cues. Training is focused on positive and fun learning experiences for your dog!
By addressing the root cause of the behavior such as fear, anxiety, or frustration, your dog will be able to experience the world calmly and confidently, without going over threshold or being trigger-stacked.

Yes! Most dog parents have been dealing with behavior issues for a long time. My clients often come to me after seeing several other trainers or trying different training methods themselves. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, tired, or at the end of your leash you are not alone.
Training is not about quick fixes. The best training results come from consistent and frequent practice, which is where day training shines! By training your dog multiple times a week we get faster, longer-lasting results for all sorts of behavior issues.
