Your Dog In Real Life

Have you found yourself asking:

Why doesn’t my dog listen to me?

How do I get my dog to stop pulling on leash?

Why won’t my dog stop jumping on people?

How do I get my dog to come when I call them?

Am I ever going to be able to have guests again?

Why is my adolescent dog such a menace?

How the heck do other people do this?

If your dog didn’t come pre-programmed with basic manners, you’re not alone. And I’m here to help.

Training is about building relationships

The best training results take consistent time and practice! Here’s how we work together during your training program:

Assessment: We start by understanding your dog’s personality, behaviors, and environment.

Customized Plan: We create a flexible, individualized training plan tailored to your dog’s needs and your goals and lifestyle.

Ongoing Support: We stay connected, cheer progress, and adjust methods as needed to ensure lasting results.

Teamwork: You are included in the process and encouraged to ask questions, provide feedback, and actively engage.

Positive Environment: Training sessions are fun, motivating, and rewarding, making learning enjoyable for both you and your dog.

Your Dog Trained For You

Structure: I come to your home multiple times per week and work directly with your dog one-on-one.

Best for: Busy dog parents who don’t have the time, interest, or ability to learn how to train their dog and/or devote significant time to practice each day.

Dog parents who want faster results but do not want to send their dog away to a training camp or boarding program.

Not ideal for: Dogs with reactivity, fear towards new humans, and at-home behavior problems such as counter-surfing, greeting guests, etc.). Got a reactive or overexcited dog? Check out my Reactivity Training programs.

Level of dog parent involvement: Moderate. I do the training for you! We check in once a week to transfer the skills, but with so much practice with your dog, they should be more manageable to implement.

Financial Support

Because positive relationship building with your dog shouldn’t be a financial burden, I offer a limited sliding scale for those unable to pay the full rate. Please contact me if you would like to discuss this option.

Additionally, because adoption from a shelter or rescue is such an incredible way to support your community and provide a loving home to a dog in need, I offer a10% discount for the first month of membership for newly adopted dogs (from both rescues and shelters). Not only do many dogs in shelters and rescues not have basic skills, but the adjustment period into your home is such a special and important time to support their learning!
